Shanghai, China, July 11, 2024- Toshiba Electronic Components and Storage Devices Co., Ltd. ("Toshiba") announced today the launch of its latest Mux/De Mux switches, "TDS4A212MX" and "TDS4B212MX" Mux/De Mux switches. This new product can be used as a 2-in-1 output Mux switch and a 1-in-2 output De Mux switch, suitable for high-speed differential signal applications such as PCIe 5.0, USB4, and USB4Ver.2 on PCs, server devices, mobile devices, etc.

The new product adopts Toshiba's proprietary SOI process (TarfSOI), achieving very high bandwidth: TDS4B212MX has a -3 dB bandwidth (differential) of 27.5 GHz (typical value) and TDS4A212MX has a bandwidth of 26.2 GHz (typical value), leading the industry [1]. Therefore, the new product can be used as a Mux/De Mux switch for high-speed differential signals such as PCIe5.0, USB4, and USB4Ver.2.


TDS4B212MX and TDS4A212MX have different pin assignments. The pin allocation of TDS4B212MX has been optimized for high-frequency characteristics. The pin allocation consideration of TDS4A212MX helps to ensure compatibility with circuit board layouts.
