Zhaoyi Innovation will showcase multiple solutions at the SNEC Photovoltaic Exhibition to assist in the intelligent upgrade of energy systems

Beijing, China (June 10, 2025) - Leading semiconductor device supplier GigaDevice (stock code 603986) announced that it will participate in the 18th SNEC PV+(2025) International Solar Photovoltaic and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference and Exhibition (booth number: 5.1H-B360) to showcase its innovative achievements in the field of digital energy. At this exhibition, Zhaoyi Innovation will launch MCU and AFE solutions covering application fields such as power control, energy storage systems, and end-to-end AI, to help accelerate the upgrading of the smart energy industry towards high efficiency and intelligence.


 


Multi power control scheme to drive efficient operation of photovoltaics and intelligent terminals


Driven by the dual goals of carbon neutrality and the trend towards energy digitization, the energy system is rapidly evolving towards decentralization, intelligence, and high efficiency. Power control, as a key link connecting energy generation, storage, and use, has become a fundamental technology supporting the stable operation of core scenarios such as photovoltaic power generation, energy storage systems, electric transportation, and data centers. It has become an important component in promoting the construction of new power systems.


 


At this exhibition, Zhaoyi Innovation will launch a new 500W single-stage photovoltaic micro inverter solution. This solution is based on GD32G5 series MCU and nano micro semiconductor bidirectional GaNFast? Gallium nitride power chips adopt a single-stage one to one micro inverter architecture, which has advantages such as high efficiency, low loss, high integration, and cost optimization. By optimizing the hybrid modulation strategy, current stress and power loss can be effectively reduced, and combined with soft switching technology, the switching loss can be significantly reduced, enabling the system to achieve peak efficiency of over 97.5% and CEC efficiency of 97%. At the same time, the MPPT efficiency is as high as 99.9%, maximizing the photovoltaic energy output. The single-stage architecture adopted in this scheme achieves direct conversion from DC to AC, eliminating the traditional one-stage DC-DC conversion link. This not only improves power density, but also reduces the number of devices and energy loss; At the same time, the system design achieved high integration by using magnetic integration technology with a single integrated inductor transformer to reduce the volume of magnetic components, and adopting nano micro bidirectional gallium nitride switches to meet the demand for AC side bidirectional switches. These combined optimizations further reduced the system size and overall BOM cost.


 


In addition, this exhibition will also bring a 7kW DC charging station solution based on the GD32G553 series MCU. The scheme adopts a two-level topology of MCU control for the front-end totem pole PFC and the back-end full bridge LLC, supporting 220V (± 10%)/50Hz input voltage and 250VDC-450VDC wide output voltage, meeting diverse charging needs. Charging modes include constant current, constant voltage, and trickle charging, ensuring efficient adaptation to different battery states. The switching frequency of PFC topology is 70kHz, the switching frequency range of LLC topology is 94kHz to 300kHz, and the control frequency of the scheme is 35kHz. The solution has a communication cycle of 1ms and a communication rate of 1Mbps, supports single module to multi module parallel expansion, and flexibly improves the overall power level of the system.


 


Intelligent BMS solution and BMS AFE chip to assist industrial and commercial energy storage and photovoltaic energy storage applications


With the transformation of energy structure and the accelerated implementation of distributed energy, industrial and commercial energy storage is increasingly becoming a key support for new power systems. In applications such as peak shaving, valley filling, power regulation, and backup power supply, the demand for energy storage systems continues to grow, which also puts higher requirements on the intelligence and safety of battery management systems (BMS). MCU plays a core role in BMS, responsible for battery status monitoring, fault protection, data processing, and communication management, helping energy storage systems achieve more refined management and flexible energy scheduling.


 


The industrial and commercial energy storage BMS solution that will be presented at this exhibition is jointly developed by Zhaoyi Innovation and Shenzhen Zhongdian Port Technology Co., Ltd. The solution adopts GD32F527 and GD32VW553 series MCUs, which have multiple significant advantages. Firstly, supporting automatic addressing technology eliminates the need for traditional dip switch settings, which not only reduces hardware costs but also enhances the long-term reliability of the system. Secondly, through intelligent battery balancing management, the charging and discharging status of the battery can be adjusted in real time, effectively extending the battery life and optimizing overall performance. In addition, it supports flexible expansion of secondary and tertiary architectures, with a single battery control unit (BCU) capable of managing 16 battery management units (BMUs) and supporting parallel networking of up to 16 BCUs, meeting the complex requirements of large-scale energy storage systems. Finally, the solution supports both cloud and local upgrade modes, greatly simplifying the operation and maintenance process and significantly reducing later maintenance costs.


 


Zhaoyi Innovation will also bring BMS AFE chips GD30BM1018 and GD30BM2016 at this exhibition. GD30BM1018 supports measurement of 18 battery cells, with a measurement error of only 2mV across the entire temperature range, and also supports SPI communication. This chip can be used for large-scale energy storage and industrial and commercial energy storage applications, providing customers with more accurate measurements and comprehensive system protection. GD30BM2016 supports 16 string battery cell measurement with a measurement error of only 5mV across the entire temperature range. It supports both high edge and low edge driving and can be widely used in applications such as photovoltaic energy storage, household energy storage, mobile energy storage, two wheelers, and power tools, providing customers with cost-effective solutions.


 


End side AI solution to enhance photovoltaic safety and intelligent interaction experience


In the context of increasingly intelligent digital energy, traditional energy systems have constantly raised requirements for safety, interactivity, and autonomy. At this exhibition, Zhaoyi Innovation will bring multiple end-to-end AI solutions, including AI DC arc detection and AI voice interaction. The localized deployment of end-to-end AI not only reduces latency and communication dependence, but also brings stronger autonomous perception and response capabilities to the energy system, which will become one of the key paths for digital energy devices to evolve towards intelligence.


 


At the end side AI exhibition area, Zhaoyi Innovation will bring two AI DC arc detection solutions based on GD32H7 series and GD32G5 series MCUs. Among them, the arc detection scheme based on GD32H7 MCU can support real-time AI inference capability for arc detection with up to 12 ADC channels at a sampling rate of 500K. Using a deep convolutional neural network model, analyzing 4096 sampling points requires only 1.7KB of Flash and takes only 0.6ms. The model has good hardware compatibility and can adapt to different acquisition devices, supporting a current range of 0-40A and achieving 100% detection accuracy.
