The AstraTM SL series embedded processors under Synaptics are highly integrated system on chips (SoCs) for AI native Linux and Android, designed specifically for hardware optimization of consumer, enterprise, and industrial Internet of Things (IoT) workloads. They are equipped with hardware accelerators that support edge inference, security requirements, graphics processing, visual computing, and audio applications.


 


The SL1680 used in this solution is a member of the AstraTM SL series embedded processors, which integrates high-performance computing engines including a quad core Arm Cortex-A73 64 bit CPU subsystem, 7.9+TOPS neural network processing units (NPUs), and an efficient, multifunctional GPU designed specifically for advanced graphics and AI acceleration. In addition, the product also has hardware modules for image signal processing (ISP), 4K video encoding and decoding, and audio acceleration, which can meet the multi-mode application needs of the IoT segmented market.
