Ansi China issues another statement: Dutch headquarters owes 1 billion yuan

Post on Jan 01,1970
On November 2nd, in response to the suspension of wafer supply by its Dutch parent company Nexperia, Nexperia China Limited (referred to as "Nexperia China") once again issued a statement strongly refuting it. The statement stated that the Dutch headquarters' claim of "Chinese management defaulting and failing to pay" is "completely groundless and maliciously smeared", and instead pointed out that Dutch semiconductor currently owes its Dongguan Test Factory (ATGD) up to 1 billion yuan in payment.

The incident originated on October 26th, when Dutch semiconductor company Ansea unilaterally decided to stop supplying wafers to its packaging and testing factory located in Dongguan, Guangdong. According to Reuters, Stefan Tilger, interim CEO of Ansea Semiconductor, stated in a letter signed on October 29th that this move was a "direct consequence of the local management's recent failure to comply with the agreed contract payment terms," and emphasized that "as long as the contractual obligations are not fully fulfilled, we cannot resume wafer delivery.

On the early morning of November 2nd, Anshi China issued a bilingual announcement letter to customers titled "Anshi China to Customer Announcement Letter 20251101", firmly denying this. The statement pointed out that the so-called "payment breach" by Dutch semiconductor company Ansea is purely fabricated, and Ansea China does not have any breach of contract. On the contrary, it is the Dutch headquarters that owes a huge amount of payment.

Anshi China also harshly criticized the management of the Dutch headquarters in the statement, stating that they had "seriously neglected their duties and responsibilities in the decision-making process, put personal interests above the overall interests of the company, and seriously violated professional ethics and corporate governance requirements", and emphasized that this "completely disregards customer interests, seriously violates contract agreements and business cooperation principles", and is an "extremely irresponsible practice".

In addition, Anshi China has issued a formal statement regarding the unilateral removal of Mr. Zhang Qiuming from the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing Department by the Dutch headquarters, stating that the relevant decisions of the Dutch headquarters do not have legal effect in China, and Zhang Qiuming's position remains unchanged. His actions represent Anshi China. Anshi China stated that the company's business operations are normal, unaffected by any unilateral external decisions, and fully capable of ensuring business continuity and stability.

In terms of supply chain, Anshi China guarantees to its customers that the company has established sufficient inventory of finished and work in progress products, which can stably and continuously meet customers' order needs until the end of the year or even longer, and the supply chain is safe and reliable. To ensure the long-term and resilience of supply, the company has actively launched multiple contingency plans and is intensifying the verification of new wafer production capacity. We are confident in completing the verification in the short term and seamlessly meeting all customer needs from next year.

Anshi China emphasizes that the company always puts customer interests first and will continue to maintain timely and transparent communication with customers. The current controversy stems from the Dutch government's freezing of the control of Chinese parent company Wentai Technology over Anshi Semiconductor on September 30th, citing "national security" reasons, which has plunged the world's major semiconductor supplier into complex geopolitical and commercial disputes.

At present, Anshi China and its headquarters in the Netherlands are each holding their own views, and their conflicts have become public. In response to this incident, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce also stated that the improper intervention of the Dutch government in the internal affairs of enterprises has led to the current chaos in the global supply chain. As a responsible major country, China fully considers the security and stability of its domestic and international production and supply chains. We welcome enterprises that encounter practical difficulties to contact the Ministry of Commerce or local commerce authorities in a timely manner, and will comprehensively consider the actual situation of enterprises to exempt exports that meet the conditions.
